Holiday Recipes...little late?

So my mother and I made some really yummy snacks and drinks this holiday season, and I would love to share them. I'm hoping because we are technically still in holiday season until Tuesday, that it isn't too late to share these. :)
The first thing I would like to share is peppermint dipped pretzels. These are delicious, and  quite easy to make as well.

Ingredients:
½ bag of stick pretzels
½ bag of Vanilla White Chips
7 candy canes or bag of peppermints
Wax Paper

1. Put the candycanes/peppermints in a Ziploc baggy and crush them with a rolling pin or other hard object. Dump in bowl, and set aside.
2. Place the Vanilla Chips in a pan on the stove on medium heat. Stir constantly until melted. Keep a close eye on it, as it is very easily scorched.
3. Take the chips off the stove, and begin dipping the ends of the pretzels in the chips before quickly rolling the sticky end of the pretzel in the crushed candycanes/peppermints and place on parchment paper to cool.
4. After only a few minutes your snacks are ready to eat. Enjoy!

The second recipe is one I kinda made up by myself, and it is old-fashioned peppermint hot chocolate. My father wasn't the biggest fan of this one, as he prefers the American form of hot chocolate, but my sister's boyfriend loved this recipe! So figure out what your man likes before making this. ;)

 Ingredients:
2 C Milk
1 1/2 T Cocoa Powder
1 1/2 T Sugar
3 crushed peppermints

1. Place the Milk and crushed peppermints in a saucepan, and bring to a low boil.
2. Add the cocoa and sugar, and whisk till the mixture again comes to a boil.
3. Pour in a mug, and enjoy!

The third recipe was my mother's idea, and it was really, really, really good. Yes all those reallys are warranted. This recipe is for peppermint chex mix.
Ingredients:
1/2 box of Chex(we used corn) or 6 cups
1 bag of white vanilla chips
Bag of peppermints
Wax paper

1. Place the peppermints in ziploc bag, and crush with a hammer or rolling pin.
2. Lay out Chex(we also added pretzels) in a cookie sheet.
3. Melt the vanilla chips on medium to low heat using a whisk until completely melted and smooth. Watch out, as it likes to scorch easily.
4. Pour the melted chips and crushed peppermints over the Chex, and then toss/mix with a couple of spoons or your hands.
5. Lay out on wax paper to cool, and then enjoy. It is still yummy after a couple of days as well.

I hope you are able to use some of these!
