In Closing....

For the past few Sundays I have been taking my readers through a series: Command Man, Steady Man, or Visionary? . In this series I have presented the idea first shown me by the author Debi Pearl, of 3 different types of men. Some may think me crazy for putting men in merely three categories, but as each of these categories reflect a different aspect of God, it really works! The Command Man or King reflects the character of God the Father. Command Man The Steady Man or Priest reflects the character of God the Son. Steady Man The Visionary or Prophet reflects the character of God the Holy Spirit. Visionary I hope that this series has been one that has benefited my readers, and that they are able to take this radical idea, and use it to better honor, respect, and love the men in their lives.  For more on this radical subject read one of the following books. Essential Oils!!!!

I just read a blog post from Six Sister's Stuff that amazed me! The post was all about essential oils, and the uses these six sisters and their families have used them. I was really amazed at the uses of these oils, and think it may be time to start setting aside money to use on these wonderful, natural, and health-benefiting oils. Some of the issues and problems that these oils fixed according to these sisters included: Colds Coughs  Croup Sour Muscles Headaches Strengthening of Immune System Blemishes These sister's are wise women who are married and have children, and are involved in multiple different types of activities. Their reference of these oils makes me much more serious about actually looking into them. Read more about the oils, and their uses on the actual post doTERRA Essential Oils and At-Home Work Opportunity.

Command Man, Steady Man, or Visionary? (number 7)

Today we look again at the Visionary, who reflects the character of God the Holy Spirit. One of the blogs that I have recently started following, Women Living Well , had some really good insight on honoring and respecting this certain type of man. Courtney, the author of the blog, is married to a Visionary who throughout the years has enjoyed taking art in some pretty dangerous activities. Some of these activities include both MMA(mixed martial arts) and flying. Courtney talks about how easy it is for her to worry about him, or want to ask him to stop. Being a Pilot is listed as the 3rd most dangerous job in the world. And it would be very easy for Courtney to simply ask or even insist that her husband not fly. But that isn't the route she takes, because her husband is a Visionary. He has dreams and adventures, and Courtney sets a wonderful example for us in the way she supports him in those dreams, rather then letting her worry take over their relationship. She shares wi

3 Great Tips on Menu Planning.

I wanted to share a great post I found on Money Saving Mom The post was actually written by Abby from Mother on a Mission . Abby is a married mom, with 2 small boys. In this post, 3 Ways Menu-Planning Saves Time and Money , Abby outlines 3 simple steps that she takes in her menu-planning that I found very helpful. "I don't schedule leftovers." "I cook chicken once a month." "I cook when I can." I loved some of the problems she laid out in her post, that were eliminated when she followed these steps.  I could empathize with the frustration of trying to cook when kids were around, problems with leftovers, and how lack of menu planning caused confusion and money. If you have some menu planning in the near future, be sure to read this post!!!

Command Man, Steady Man, or Visionary? (number 6)

Steady Man! We are back to talking about the type of man who reflects the character of Jesus, the Son. Today I would like to direct you to My Blissful Chaos . The author of this post, Hannah, is a young mother of 3 adorable little girls, and the wife of a Steady Man/Priest. I loved her post because she talked about doing her hair in a way that she knew her husband would love. "While Scott was out delivering Singing Valentines, I prepared a romantic evening for the two of us. He loves when I curl my hair. "Softly around your face", is the phrase he uses." Women love to do fun stuff with their hair, often even to please their husbands. But a Steady Man is the type who will love the same exact thing over and over and over again. I loved how Hannah didn't try to play with her hair and do something new that she hoped her husband would like. Instead, she knew how he loved her hair, and rather then choose to do something new, that is what she did. That is a

Phone and Productivity?

For my post today I would like to direct you once again to the lovely site: Money Saving Mom . A lady guest posted the article that I want to share. 20 Ways to be More Productive While on the Phone. This post was really helpful to me, as I am totally the kind who LOVES to have long conversations with people on the phone. This can become a problem, however, when there are household tasks or the like that need to get done. But after reading this post, I no longer have to choose in between that felt-need of talking to someone and getting stuff around the house done. I have over the years almost perfected keeping the phone in between my shoulder and ear, thus leaving my arms free, but am very thankful for additional ideas of things I can do while on the phone. Some examples from the afore mentioned post, that I had not thought of before are: Wash a window Purge extra dishes from the cupboard Clean out your purse Go through your mail And many, many more! These are s

Command Man, Steady Man, or Visionary? (number 5)

As I said last Sunday, I do intend to continue in this series. But I intend to take a slightly different route. I would like that rather than telling you my own experiences with the 3 different types of men, to instead direct you towards those married and with more experience. So today, as we once again talk about the character of a Command Man/King, I would like to direct you to  The Better Mom Ruth, the author of this blog, is a married woman with 4 home-schooled children. One of her most recent posts talked about something that I thought would be very helpful in understanding how to support and respect those men in our lives, the Kings, who reflect the character of God the Father. Of all the types of men, women will often be scared of or offended by the ego of the King. Kings really do show a lot of their male ego. But as Ruth tells us,   "Women tend to “mock” how huge a man’s ego can be, but I think we forget our husband’s ego is tender." She then goes o
